Making DNS Changes at Dotster.com

Remember that it takes 24-72 hours
for these changes to take effect.
This process is called DNS
Propagation.
The
first thing you need to do is to
login to your account manager, by
clicking on the MyAccount
button at the top of the page.
You
will then be presented with a
restricted area popup password box,
where you will be required to enter
your Dotster username and password.
Once logged in scroll down to the
'Account Management' section.
Once selected click on update name
servers, then select the domain name
you wish to modify and click 'Manage
Domains'
Once selected scroll down to
Registered Domain Functions and
click on Update Name Servers.
You will now be able to see the existing
nameservers for the domain name.
Now enter the name servers as
specified in your Welcome E-mail
(i.e. ns1.hostinghelper.co.uk) once done
submit the changes by clicking on
'Add'
After entering the first primary
nameserver, Dotster will
automatically what it assumes will
be the secondary nameserver. Check
this for accuracy and then add it.
You only ever need two nameservers to
point your domain name correctly,
therefore, unless there is more than
two nameservers listed in your
welcome e-mail you do not need to
add any more.
You
will then need to enter your e-mail
address to receive a confirmation of
the changes via e-mail.
After a few seconds the screen
should display a message similar to
the one below:
"Update complete with the following
results:
YOURDOMAIN.COM: Name Servers
Successfully Updated"
