Making DNS Changes at 123-Reg.co.uk
Remember that it takes 24-72 hours
for these changes to take effect.
This process is called DNS
Propagation.
The
first thing you need to do is to
login to your account manager, by
scrolling down to the Member
Login button on the left hand
side menu.
You
will then be presented with a
restricted area popup password box,
where you will be required to enter
your 123-reg username and password.
Once logged in scroll down to the
'Manage Domains' section. Note if
you have more than one domain name
in your account you will need to
select the domain name you wish to
modify from the drop down list.
Once selected click on modify
account, scroll down to near the
bottom of the page and click on
'Change Nameservers'
Once selected you will have the
option of entering 4 name servers,
you need to set the nameservers to:
ns1.hostinghelper.co.uk
ns2.hostinghelper.co.uk
Enter the name servers as specified
in your Welcome E-mail (i.e.
ns1.hostinghelper.co.uk) once done submit the
changes by clicking on 'Change
Nameservers'
After a few seconds the screen
should display a message similar to
the one below:
"Setting nameservers to
ns1.hostinghelper.co.uk and
ns2.hostinghelper.co.uk
Please Wait....
Nameservers for yourdomain.com
successfully changed to
ns1.hostinghelper.co.uk and
ns2.hostinghelper.co.uk"
